Yellow Philharmoniker announces new performance season: commissioning new works and simultaneous expansion of charity performances
The new performance season maintains a balance between classical core repertoire and contemporary commissioned works. The entire season includes two commissioned premieres. The number of low-priced events and outdoor concerts open to the public has increased compared with the previous season.

Yellow Philharmoniker announced its new performance season schedule today. The full season program continues the structure of equal emphasis on classical core works and contemporary commissioned works, including the world premiere of two commissioned works - higher than the minimum limit of at least one per year stipulated in the orchestra's charter.
The orchestra also announced that the number of low-priced and outdoor concerts for the public has increased compared with the previous season, and the student ticket quota has been expanded simultaneously.
Not leaving the season to the repertoire
In terms of repertoire, the orchestra has long adhered to a principle: not to devote the entire season entirely to repertoire that has been performed repeatedly. The artistic director said in the season description that the repertoire is certainly reliable - they can fill the concert hall and meet the expectations of most listeners, but if an orchestra only performs works that have proven successful, it actually excludes itself from the writing of music history.
「At least one new work every year is our commitment to living composers. What they need is not applause, but a real orchestra, a real hall, a real night.」
Educational promotion is the second mission
Educational outreach is another regular responsibility of the orchestra. In the new performance season, open rehearsals and instrument experience courses for primary and secondary school students will continue; the young musician training channel jointly established by the orchestra and Tsing Shing Kariton University Conservatory of Music will also welcome a new batch of students.
Many concerts this season will be recorded live by Kariton Classical and released in the form of concert videos, allowing the performances to reach the audience over a longer time span.
The orchestra's operating funds are guaranteed by the group's special budget for cultural undertakings, and artistic decisions are independent of commercial considerations.
